Lundin Petroleum discovers oil and gas offshore Malaysia.

During the last five years Lundin Petroleum has acquired a number of prospective exploration licences offshore Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.

Lundin Petroleum commenced exploration drilling offshore Sabah in 2011 resulting in two gas discoveries on the Tarap and Cempulut prospects. A further oil discovery was made on the Janglau prospect in PM308A, offshore Peninsular Malaysia.

3D seismic has been acquired in each of the blocks and is currently being interpreted.

Five exploration wells are planned to be drilled in Malaysia during 2012.
